Choose The Right People To Fit Your Business

Personality Assessments

Personality influences who you are personally/professionally. It plays an essential role in explaining some of the variation in work performance (organised, care free, shy, outgoing, warm, friendly,  skeptical, direct, creative, open to new ideas, structure and rules).

Personality/job fit mismatches can lead to high employee turnover and under performance in teams. this employee turnover/under performance costs your business time and money, whereas recruiting people with a bench-marked job & company fit will pay you dividends.

Engage Your Employees & Grow Your Business

Employee Engagement Survey

Research by Gallup shows that engaged employees are more productive employees. They are more profitable, more customer-focused, safer, and more likely to withstand temptations to leave the organisation.

The Big 5 Assessments Employee Engagement Survey can be used in the recruitment process to help Recruiters, Hiring Managers and HR Professionals to understand a candidates level of commitment and engagement with their current or most recent job and employer.

1. Company Commitment

If a candidate indicates that they have a low level of commitment with their current or most recent job, the risk of hiring them is higher because you have to determine if they can be motivated to work in your open position.

Individuals who are highly engaged with their employer tend to be loyal to their employers and see their jobs as a source of pride and enjoyment.

2. Job Commitment

Individuals who are highly engaged with their job are typically inspired to go above and beyond their job description to help meet business goals.

What It Measures

The Engagement Survey shows the level of commitment between an individual and their current or most recent job and employer.

Accountants Need Soft Skills

Accountancy firms are putting more emphasis on communication skills than ever before.

According to “economia” the member publication for ICAEW chartered accountants, more than three-quarters (76%) of accountancy jobs advertised today demand candidates who can demonstrate strong soft skills – according to research from accountancy recruiter Randstad Financial & Professional.

It found that almost half (48%) of all accountancy job listings on its website include references to excellent communication and listening skills, while the ability to build and maintain strong relationships were demanded by 44% of all employers.

A third of those listed mention management and strategic leadership skill, while a quarter require the ability to work under pressure (24%) and sales acumen. This is where 21st Century personal development coaching can help because going forward, it will also become imperative to develop mental resilience and emotional intelligence.

The “soft skills” in the highest demand are, possibly, not the ones we might expect. While we might imagine managerial and leadership skills would be the most popular with big professional services firms, for instance, the ability to communicate effectively is actually their top priority.

Clearly, strategic leadership is important – a trait that the Big Four will look for in all of their A-players – it’s communication and listening that everyone needs to demonstrate at the moment,” said Tara Ricks, managing director of Randstad Financial & Professional.

We’re also seeing a growing demand for people who can collaborate and as silo working falls by the wayside this will become the soft skill of the future.

A recent report suggested soft skills are worth £88bn to the UK economy, with this figure expected to rise to £109bn within the next five years.

60% of People are Unhappy and looking for a Change!

Claim Your Free Success Coaching Session with Me!

According to Investors In People and a recent survey – a staggering 47%-60% of people are unhappy in their work/career and said that if they had the opportunity they would do something else.

Does that sound familiar?

Think about that for a moment, in reality this statistic means that on average – every other person you meet is unhappy in their work or career. Wow!

The world has changed and the UK economy is likely to be uncertain over the foreseeable future – yet many people still hold onto old ways of thinking about “employment”, “income” and the way they view work.

When you really think about work, and how income works you also begin to realise that in the conventional workplace most people get paid “linear” or “active” income. In other words, when you have a job you go to work and get paid the equivalent an hourly rate or perhaps in sales role you could earn a bonus. In reality, this classed as “temporary income” because when you are not active anymore or you lose your job – you stop getting paid.

Alternatively, when you have the right business model, a self-employed leadership programme and ongoing support to help you become successful, it is possible to leverage your income to a whole new level.

Firstly you must change your mindset and begin to see things differently because for those people who now have the desire to be a little entrepreneurial and have the motivation to do something different, there are options available that could completely change their personal landscape.

It’s all about coming across a viable opportunity that can help you get from “where you are….to where you want to be”.

“Don’t wait until you are thirsty – before you start digging your well”

Here are 5 important questions to ask yourself – and notice the answers:

  1. What is your Number One priority – right now?
  2. Why did you choose that one?
  3. Why is that important to you?
  4. What would be the consequence of not having the opportunity?
  5. Why would that worry you?

Do you know about the Law of Attraction?

LOA LogoThe theory behind the Law of Attraction is that energy attracts like energy in the vast expanse of space and time that we know as the universe. Each of us is constantly radiating energy frequencies, which is determined by our emotional state (positive or negative) and may differ from day to day or even moment to moment. This emotional energy is what is commonly known as a “vibe” and scientists refer to this as an energy vibration.

Imagine yourself as a ”living magnet”, attracting what you want.” The words we hear, speak, read, think, and hear in our head all generate feelings. That is why it is important to become aware of your thoughts, feelings and emotions – so that you can learn to control what you think about and your vibrational frequency “vibe”.

Whatever you think about and feel about, with inspired action you bring about.

Did you know that your heart sends more messages to your brainthan your brain sends to your heart? Just think about that for a minute.

Profound studies reveal how natural energy from the heart is acting as a hub to a source of wisdom and intelligence that the brain can call upon to enhance our lives with increased balance, creativity and intuitive capacities. Wow.

Why is this important to understand?

The Institute of Heartmath has done a huge amount of research and we now have a much deeper scientific understanding that explains how and why heart activity affects mental clarity, creativity, emotional balance, intuition and personal effectiveness. Research indicates that the heart is, in fact, a highly complex information-processing centre with its own functional brain, commonly called the heart brain, that communicates with and influences the cranial brain via the nervous system, hormonal system and other pathways.

Research has shown that the heart communicates to the brain: neurologically (through the transmission of nerve impulses), biochemically (via hormones and neurotransmitters), biophysically (through pressure waves) and energetically (through electromagnetic field interactions). Communication along all these conduits significantly affects the brain’s activity. Moreover, messages the heart sends to the brain also can affect performance.

Sorry for the technical stuff but it’s important to understand that the Law of Attraction is REAL and founded on quantum science. Still with me?

You now understand the science and have a clear grasp that “whatever you think about materialises as your life experiences – thoughts become things”. Right at this very moment, you are creating your own experience, your own destiny, your life. This is in accordance with what you allow yourself to focus and think about day by day, minute by minute.

If you don’t like what you are experiencing in your life right now and want to change it, you can learn how to use the Law of Attraction – so that you can get “less of what you DON’T want – and more of what you DO want”.

Graham Stuart is one of the few certified Law of Attraction coaches in the UK and founded the Accelerated Meta Change-ology (C) 1-2-1 coaching programme with subconscious re-programming. This is an affordable way to benefit from the Law of Attraction in action and learn the skills and techniques you can use on an everyday basis to help create the life you want.

What is your Number One Priority in Life?

What is your Number One priority in life?

It could be to create additional income, have more time to enjoy the things you like, help other people, change direction completely, have new experiences, create financial independence or leave a legacy. Whatever it is, just identify your number one priority.

Now be honest with yourself….why did you choose that one?

What would it mean to you….if you were not able to achieve your number one priority in life?

Please take a moment to think about this because when you know what REALLY this is, you will find the most powerful reason that motivates you to achieve your goals.

If you run a business and that business isn’t where you want it to be… do you know why that is?

Is there a reason why you feel disconnected or why success is eluding you? Often our subconscious programmes that run in the background are holding us back and no matter how well intended our goals may be or no matter how much will power we have….our subconscious will always win the battle.

As tempting as it is to think that something outside of you is holding you back, the truth is this: Nothing that’s happening EXTERNALLY is really keeping you from your goals and aspirations. It is almost ALWAYS an Inside job! When you know what it is then you can begin to do something about it.

The reality is that if you are not where you want to be or you don’t have the business impact you want – there is usually something going on INTERNALLY preventing you from having what you want. This is called the paradigm, a programme of habits, beliefs and behaviours that are running at a subconscious level.

“Success is 80% Psychology and 20% Mechanics” – Tony Robbins

Paradigm Change

This is where personal development and psychology plays such an important part in everything we do. Before “things” can change….YOU must first change.

The most important thing now is to discover what your internal block is – and then address it positively. Get some help from a personal development coach who unhderstands who understands how to reprograamme the unconscious mind.

When you are able to identify your deepest negative block and resolve it, many of the things that are holding you back will fall away and this will enable you to be more empowered.
